Our directors have been working in the industry for over 30 years and we have used their experience and knowledge to develop leading brands and products which have set a new benchmark for quality overalls in New Zealand.

Our Core Business

Our core business is overalls. Traditionally there have been two leading brands of overalls in the New Zealand market. We found that to break into the market we needed to deliver a superior garment with superior service and competitive pricing. We market four brands:

• TURU - Premium quality range, with superior fabrics and design features.
• PROTEX - Technical range of overalls that carry many certifications, with some of the styles incorporating Flameguard and Arcguard properties.
• CLICK - New Zealand farming and commercial sectors range.
• TWZ - Precision range of overalls, incorporating image and flexibility.

But we are not just about overalls, our range vastly extends into the Safety and Industrial market, including many styles of Safety Footwear, Food Industry Footwear and Apparel.

We stock; Hi Vis Rainwear, Corporate Apparel, Safety Vests and Polos, and a range of workwear, including; Jeans, Knitwear, Trousers and Work Socks, which can be found under the brands of Bison, Turu, TWZ, Vital X, V Sport, Bison Pure and Redback.

The name MSA is synonymous with safety around the world.

The Mine Safety Appliances Company was started by two mining specialists in Pittsburgh in 1914.

From humble beginnings, the company has grown to the point where today it produces over 4,000 products for personal protection and hazard detection.

MSA has been in Australia since 1962. Like its parent company, MSA (Aust.) Pty. Limited started with a firm focus on mine safety, but gradually diversified into other industries. MSA Australia’s Head Office and manufacturing plant is located in Sydney.

Today, the company has branch offices in every state in Australia and manufactures or sources locally 60 per cent of its product. An MSA sales and warehousing office also operates in New Zealand.

MSA has a strong local R & D commitment. The company works closely with its customers to meet their specific needs. In the longer term, this development often pays off for the broader customer base.

Service support and product training are vital components of MSA’s all-round commitment to its customers. Most products are serviced at Girraween, where the company also has an accredited Nata chemical testing laboratory.

Customer product training is conducted either on-site or at MSA’s Head Office or Branch Offices. MSA’s staff are themselves highly-trained – in some cases drawn from industry and with a full understanding of the working environment in which products are to be used.

This level of after-sales service and back-up has been a factor in MSA winning contracts with the Australian Defence Forces, emergency services and major public utilities around the country.
